Grab your land Waka (bike) from the Gentle Cycling Company at Tahunanui Motor Camp (Tahuna Holiday Park 70 Beach Road, Tāhunanui, Nelson 7011) and after a 5 minute ride to the beach, you are ready to enjoy a one hour Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) or Kayak hire from the gorgeous Tahunanui Beach and a paddle along Nelson’s iconic waterfront.
Calm and sheltered, with easy access to Fifeshire Rock and Haulashore Island, paddling at Tahunanui is easy for everyone.
Following your Paddle Nelson experience, it’s back on the bike to enjoy the rest of the day (3+ hours) exploring more what our awesome little city has to offer. Time cycling with spectacular views on the Great Taste Trail awaits. Follow the trail out to the local wineries and artisan breweries which are located within an easy cycling distance.
Your time is your own to enjoy a nice lunch or a tour of Pics Peanut Butter (bookings essential) before returning to the Gentle Cycle Company base to drop back ya wheels, or continue out to Mapua for a shuttle home. Optional upgrade for an E-bike is available too.
