Bridget and Toby Wild have a passion for the outdoors and have been sharing adventures together for 30 years. Toby has been earning a living in the outdoors over a wide range of adventure disciplines for many years and thinks he’s the man in charge. Bridget brings a wealth of tourism experience and loves nothing more than the personal contact the industry brings, and everyone knows she is the one in charge!!
Their passion for Stand Up Paddleboarding has come for their mutual love of the ocean and their eagerness to give everyone the opportunity to get out there and enjoy the same feeling. With that in mind, they have designed a range of Paddleboards to suit just about everyone and enjoy nothing more than product testing, all in the interest of customer satisfaction.
They are very lucky to have a great team to support them and look forward to catching up on the sand or on the water. See you out there!!!
Yes as in Fush ‘n’ chups, hails from Scotland originally, and is joining us this summer after a couple of back to back winters being a ski bum in Japan and Queenstown. A keen windsurfer and wannabe kite surfer he’s excited to be in sunny Nelson. Fish will be the main man for the guided Lighthouse sea kayak adventures and is stoked just to be on the water, spinning yarns about his new home. Don’t let the hair fool ya ,he knows his stuff and will be a wealth of Nelson haven information on your trip. Makes a mean coffee too!
Our own little pocket rocket !! Sam is the driving force of day to day operations. Sam hales from the Kapiti Coast but has made sunny Nelson home, and loves it!!. A mad keen MT Biker, she has fallen for the Moana, BIG time. For Sam, its all about community and connection, and with her background in teaching, sharing her new passion with paddlers from around the Motu and beyond. When not at the beach, Sam can be found at the shop, or somewhere behind the scenes doing just about everything to keep the organisation running smoothly, including organising the chaos that Toby inevitably leaves behind! We are stoked (and very lucky) to have little Sam as a massive part of our team!!
She might be gone from the day-to-day operations of Paddle Nelson but she is still very much a part of our Team Moana whānau, helping us out in the busy season with lessons and group events/bookings.Born and bred in Nelson and a keen SUPer, that’s where she spends most of her weekends anyways, so she will never be far from the beach. When it’s too windy to paddle you’ll find her trying her luck on a downhill mountain bike track or making the next modification to the ‘passion wagon’, ready for the next roady, with board and bike in tow!
